A little bit about me…

I live and work out of my home studio in Phoenix with my partner, two dogs and a cat. Art has always been a significant part of my life. Other than my spiritual pursuits, I’ve never known any other life path from being an artist. I like to live in the dream world of free expression and getting your hands dirty, valuing beauty and taking the time to really explore the depths of life.

I graduated from Arizona State University with a BFA in painting. Just after completing my degree, I began working in visual merchandising, making in-store and window displays. I departed that career to travel and study yoga then returned home to pursue life as an independent artist. I have been exploring my personal voice as an artist ever since.

Artists Statement:

I create bold, colorful works on panel using oil paint, often mixed with heavy body mediums such as marble dust and wax. My work depicts desert landscape scenes using hard edge color fields and impressionistic marks. These landscape subjects are visually cut and pasted onto elements of abstraction, in a manner that implies a lack of belonging, glimpsing into a visual representation of energies that lay beyond physical appearances.
