The original painting was done in oil paint on a wood panel. It was inspired by the desert landscape at Joshua Tree National Park and the wisdom of Mother Nature. This painting in particular speaks of the polarities that exist between light and shadow. It is the yin and yang that is present in all of life; two opposites that can simultaneously exist in harmony.
